Friday and Saturday 9:00 to 3:30pm, Registration at 9:00am on Friday, Sunday is HLA Membership meeting from 9:00 to 11:00am
“Ku i ka Mäna” – Said of a child who behaves like those who reared him. Mäna is food masticated by an elder and conveyed to the mouth of a small child. The Haumäna (pupil) receives knowledge from the mouth of his teacher. -’Olelo No’eau 1875 Mary Kawena Pukui
The Hawaiian Lomilomi Associations sends an “E Komo Mai” to present and past members. A rare opportunity to bring a haumäna whom you are mentoring or who is interested in the Native Hawaiian Healing Arts. This haumäna will be your kuleana (responsibility). Three days of talk story, cultural games and activities, kanikapila, and hula with Na Kupuna and Na Kumu Lomilomi from Oahu, Maui, Kauai, Big Island and the Continental U.S. To be announced at a later date.
•Na Kupuna Panel: Aunty Mary Fragas, Uncle Donald and Yvonne Kaiahua, Sr., Kalama Makane’ole, Uncle Kaipo Kaneakua
• La’au lapa’au, Ho’oponopono, Lomilomi
• Kanikapila – Hawaiian music in a beautiful garden setting.
• Paina – Lunch is included.
